Shumba wins Soweto SAFA Academy League ahead of Chiefs and Pirates As Alpha Foundation Africa, we were inspired by the hard work and commitment of the Shumba boys – most of whom run up to 10km to training at Leeuwkop from surrounding townships daily. They have performed exceptionally in - spite of their personal circumstances and we found it fitting to assist with their fund-raising activities and profiling to attract future sponsorship. The next step is to ensure that each boy within Shumba Development has an individual development plan and a mentor within the football fraternity. We are hosting a fund-raising cocktail awards evening to acknowledge the boys and management of Shumba to celebrate the achievement of the young superstars. We are inviting all relevent stakeholders, PSL club management and players, corporates and parents of the boys.
